Cyber attacks on major banks in the country are on the rise. Recently, a case of hacking into an account of Canara Bank has come to light. Canara Bank has provided information about this on its official Facebook page. Additionally, hackers changed the username of their social media accounts and posted ethereal content. A similar cyber attack occurred on Axis Bank on the night of June 17. Hackers compromised Axis Bank’s support account and uploaded a post referencing Tesla, the company of prominent businessman Elon Musk.

On June 22, Canara Bank was targeted by a cyber attack orchestrated by hackers. They changed the username of Canara Bank’s social media handles and posted ethereal content, replacing the location with ‘Cayman Islands.’ The bank has officially confirmed these incidents on their Facebook page, informing the public that unauthorized activity has occurred with their accounts. All teams are actively investigating the matter. Collaborating with experts, they are working diligently to regain access to the affected handles at the earliest.

Canara Bank has also made a special appeal to its customers. The bank has urged users not to post anything on our handles until we regain access. Once we have regained access, you will be informed about this matter. The bank expresses regret for any inconvenience caused to customers. It emphasizes that stringent measures will be taken to prevent such situations in the future.
