Punjab News: A Pakistani drone that entered India from along the International Border in Punjab was shot down by Border Security Force (BSF) troops on Tuesday evening.
The drone from the Pakistan side entered India from Daoke Border Outpost (BoP) in Amritsar sector.
“The Pak drone which had entered India at 1920 hrs in the AOR of BOP Daoke in the AOR of 144 Bn, Amritsar sector was found fallen this morning in Pak area, 20 meters in their territory opposite the AOR of BOP Bharopal,” BSF said in a statement.

“It hovered in the sky for a few minutes when counter-drone measures were taken and fell while returning,” BSF added.
A search operation has been launched in the area.

BSF recovers 2.6 kg heroin from Pakistani drone
Last week, BSF recovered one packet of heroin, weighing around 2.6 kg, from the Fazilka district of Punjab. The consignment was dropped by a Pakistani drone.
The troops, on the intervening night of December 14 and 15, recovered one packet suspected to be of heroin near village Barike, official had said.
