Earlier in the day, BRS spokesperson Sravan Dasoju labeled the ED raids as “politically motivated” and asserted that both the BJP and Congress are collaborating to target leaders of the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led party.

The BRS leader accused the ED and IT of targeting the party under the influence of the BJP. He stated that wherever Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes, the ED and IT operations either come before or after. The leader alleged that this tactic is being employed in Telangana to create chaos within the BRS. He also criticized the ED and IT for not taking action against Congress leaders in Telangana who have allegedly amassed wealth illegally.
In the previous month, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned Kavitha regarding the same case. This marked the second instance where the BRS MLC was called upon to appear before the central investigative agency. However, she opted to skip the summons, citing her “pressing onerous engagements” in a letter.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has claimed that Kavitha is associated with the South Lobby and was represented by Arun Pillai. Pillai purportedly played a significant role in benami investments and bribery within Indospirits.
