Two Indian Air Force pilots were killed in action when their Pilatus trainer aircraft crashed at 8:55 during training at Air Force Academy.

In a tragic incident, two Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots were killed in action when their Pilatus trainer aircraft crashed at during training at Air Force Academy, Dindigul in Telangana, informed officials on Monday.

“Tragedy struck as a Pilatus trainer aircraft crashed at the Air Force Academy in Dindigul, Telangana, claiming the lives of two Indian Air Force pilots—an instructor and a cadet,” stated IAF official.

“During a routine training sortie from AFA, Hyderabad, a Pilatus PC 7 Mk II aircraft encountered an accident today morning. The Indian Air Force sadly confirms the fatalities of both pilots aboard. No reports of damage to civilian life or property have been disclosed. A Court of Inquiry has been initiated by the Indian Air Force to determine the accident’s cause,” he said.
