Mumbai: A suspicious boat has been seen near the seashore of Palghar, adjacent to Mumbai. The Navy and Coast Guard have started searching for the boat, suspected of having a Pakistani national on board.

A suspicious boat has been sighted 50 nautical miles from Bombay High. According to sources, the boat is Indian only, but when the suspicious boat came on the radar of the agencies, an attempt was made to stop it. When the patrol team signalled the boat to stop, the person driving it started taking it towards the sea. Seeing this, the patrolling team started chasing him. A senior official has confirmed the incident. The Navy and Coast Guard have also been informed.

Last year, in August, a boat full of weapons was found in Raigad, Maharashtra. Out of this, along with three AK-47s, some bullets and weapons were also recovered. Then Maharashtra’s Deputy CM, Devendra Fadnavis, told the press conference that this boat belonged to a woman from Australia. After getting spoiled, it got washed away and came to the coast of India.

Earlier, on December 13, the Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) had issued a circular directing all government, government-aided, and recognised private schools under DOE, NDMC, MCD, and Delhi Cantonment Board to conduct classes in a hybrid mode for students up to Class IX and XI.
