Breaking! Rahul Gandhi files appeal in Surat Session Court against his conviction
Surat: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday moved an appeal in a Surat Session Court against his conviction in the 'Modi Surname' criminal defamation case.
According to live law, Rahul's appeal has been accompanied by two applications, the first for suspension of imprisonment sentence and the second for Suspension of conviction.

Days after being convicted in the “Modi Surname” defamation case, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared in a Gujarat session court on Monday to appeal against his conviction. Gandhi was sentenced to two years of jail for his controversial remarks.
He was accompanied by his sister and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Chattisgadh CM Bhupesh Baghel, and Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. The security around court premises was tightened following Rahul's visit.
