Media reports also stated that Jakhar expressed his unwillingness to work as party president and said that he is unable to work in the state freely. Following the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, it was noticed that Jakhar reduced his involvement in state politics. He was last seen at the BJP state party meeting in Chandigarh on September 3, 2024.
Jakhar joined the BJP in May 2022, which was the same month he left Congress as its State President. In July 2024 he was appointed as BJP’s Punjab President.
Sunil Jakhar Had Conflicts With Ravneet Singh Bittu
It is also being said that some conflicts between Jakhar and Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu and Rana Sodhi had lost from Ferozepur Lok Sabha Seat in 2024.
Earlier, both Jakhar and Sodhi were together in Congress. Jakhar’s absence from the BJP party meeting on Thursday led to strong speculations of his exit from the party.
