The Ministry of Defence is currently holding a press briefing on the ongoing situation. The meeting comes after days of rising tension with Pakistan along the western border. It followed Operation Sindoor, carried out by the Indian Forces on May 7. The operation targeted nine key terror sites in Pakistan and PoK in a firm retaliation for the ghastly Pahalgam attack on April 22.
The media briefing follows the last presser by Foreign Secretary Viram Misri on Saturday night after Pakistan violated the ceasefire. Five hours after Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that India and Pakistan had reached an understanding to halt all firing and military actions across land, air, and sea with immediate effect, reports of ceasefire violations by Pakistan began to surface.
