New Delhi: Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday announced that the next meeting of the Opposition parties will be held in Maharashtra’s Mumbai. He asserted that the date is yet to be decided but the parties will meet in Mumbai next.
Following the first meeting in Bihar’s Patna where 16 Opposition parties met to decide fate of alliance against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is 26 parties today in Bengaluru.
The Congress chief asserted that the Opposition meeting have affected Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, “Now Modiji is calling NDA meeting with 38 parties after Opposition meeting. Are these parties even registered? Earlier they never cared for NDA allies but now PM Modi is trying to assemble everyone.”
While thanking every Opposition parties, Kharge said ‘the first achievement of the Opposition unity is that everyone agrees to a same name.’
