Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia compensation from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) following the multi-vehicle collision on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura. An amount of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the next of kin of each deceased, while Rs 50,000 will be provided to those injured in the accident.

Three Indian students were injured in the Bondi Beach terrorist attack in Sydney. Two of them are currently undergoing treatment in hospital and are reported to be out of danger. At least four people were killed and 25 others injured when multiple buses caught fire following a major collision on the Delhi-Agra Expressway in Mathura district during the early hours of Tuesday, officials reported.
An earthquake measuring 5.0 hit parts of Karachi and Balochistan on Tuesday, with its epicentre near Sonmiani, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. Sonmiani, a coastal village in southeastern Balochistan, is located approximately 87 kilometers from Karachi. No immediate damage or casualties have been reported.
