The ED will record his statements under the Prevention pf Money Laundering Act (PMLA). He was also questioned by ED in different cases.
In 2012, the Director General, consolidation of holdings and land records, and senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka invalidated the 3.5-acre land deal. The BJP accused the Congress of irregularities in land purchases, making it a major issue in the 2014 Lok Sabha and state elections.
Previously, the slow development of the probe into the alleged anomalies had caused concerns. Congress, Vadra, and Haryana’s chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, had constantly denied any wrongdoing.
