Earthquake latest news today: Massive tremors were experienced across Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, and several parts of north India today as a result of two earthquakes in Nepal. The first earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.6 and a depth of 5 km, struck Nepal at 2:25 pm. This was followed by a second earthquake, measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale, at 2:51 pm in the same region. Tremors were felt across Delhi and NCR as people were forced to move out of their buildings, highrises and office premises and residential complexes. no causalities were reported by time of writing of this report. The National Centre for Seismology has identified the epicenter of the earthquake in Nepal.
In a statement, they reported, “Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.6 occurred on 03-10-2023, at 14:25:52 IST, with coordinates Lat: 29.37 & Long: 81.22. The earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers and its location was determined to be in Nepal. For more information, download the BhooKamp App.”

The earthquake was also felt in Delhi and various parts of the National Capital Region (NCR). Additionally, reports have indicated that tremors were experienced in areas of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, Hapur, and Amroha.

In a social media post, the Delhi Police issued a message to the residents of Delhi, urging them to ensure their safety during the earthquake. The post stated: “Hey Delhi people! We hope you all are safe. Please come out of your buildings to a safe spot, but do not panic. DO NOT USE ELEVATORS! For any emergency help, dial 112.” This message was shared to provide guidance and support to the people of Delhi in the wake of the earthquake.

Following the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal, some buildings in Bajhang district have reportedly suffered damage. The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers, had a significant impact on the region, resulting in structural damage to several structures.
