New Delhi: Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekahr Ravan Convey was attacked in Deoband area of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. He sustained a minor injury as one bullet brushed past his waist.
Saharanpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada said that few car-borne armed men fired at convoy of Bhim Army president.
“SSP Dr Vipin Tada says, “Half an hour back, the convoy of Chandra Shekhar Aazad was fired at by a few car-borne armed men. A bullet brushed past him. He is alright and has been taken to CHC for medical treatment. Police is investigating the matter.”
According to information, a bullet came out touching waist of Bhim Army chief.

Talking to media person while lying on stretcher, Chandrashekhar said that he did not identify the miscreants. They went towards Saharanpur, said Azad.
“I don’t remember well but my people identified them. Their car went towards Saharanpur. We took a U-Turn. Five of us, including my younger brother, were in the car when the incident occurred..,” said Chandra Shekhar Aazad.

Azad Samaj Party demands Security
Azad Samaj party through it official twitter handle alleged that the move was done to stop ‘Bahujan Mission Movement’ and demanded security for Azad.
“The murderous attack on Honorable Bhim Army Chief and National President Bhai Chandrashekhar Azad ji in Deoband, Saharanpur is a cowardly act to stop the Bahujan Mission Movement! Immediate arrest of the accused, strict action and National President Bhai Chandrashekhar Azad ji demands security!,” said Azad Samaj Party.
