Pakistani drone: BSF has once again shot down a Pakistani drone near the international border in Punjab. Drug consignment has been recovered from destroyed Pakistani drone. Border Security Force personnel on Monday shot down a Pakistani drone carrying drugs near the international border in Punjab’s Amritsar, a BSF official said.
During the search: Two packets suspected to contain heroin were seized, the official said. BSF Commandant Ajay Kumar Mishra told that the soldiers of 144 Corps of BSF conducted an operation in BOP Rajatal area in which a drone was shot down. 2 packets have been seized, which are suspected to contain heroin.
Pakistani drone shot down
Earlier on Sunday, BSF personnel shot down a Pakistani drone carrying narcotics near the international border near Amritsar in Punjab.
BSF said in a statement that BSF personnel heard the buzz of a suspected Pakistani drone at Dhano Kalan village in Amritsar district at around 8.48 pm on Saturday night. BSF jawans immediately took action to intercept the drone as per the established practice and shot down the Pakistani drone.
Narcotics Recovered
During preliminary search of the area, BSF personnel recovered a drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice, 300 RTK) along with a consignment containing three packets of suspected narcotics. BSF said that the total weight of the recovered consignment of suspected heroin is approximately 3.3 kg. Vigilant BSF jawans foiled yet another nefarious attempt by Pakistan.
