A few days ago, a similar incident came to light in Gurugram. A user had ordered food online from a renowned restaurant in Gurugram. However, when the young man opened the packet, he found a dead cockroach inside. He recorded a video of the incident and complained with the Food Service Authority. This is not the first such case; complaints regarding insects and other contaminants in food have surfaced before this incident as well.
Earlier this year, a passenger aboard the ‘Vande Bharat’ Express, a premium train operated by Indian Railways, found a cockroach in his meal while traveling from Bhopal to Jabalpur. Following this incident, he mentioned it on social media (formerly Twitter). The post created a stir within the railway community, leading to an investigation. Subsequently, after the investigation, IRCTC imposed a fine of ₹45,000 on the catering company.
