Bomb Threat: Airline giant IndiGo’s flight on the Nagpur-Kolkata route received a bomb threat and had to make an emergency landing at Raipur Airport this morning, according to police officials. The flight is reported to have 167 passengers and 8 crew members onboard.
The flight had taken off from Nagpur and was destined for Kolkata. It was diverted to Raipur after airport authorities received the threat, as reported by Senior Superintendent of Raipur Police, Santosh Singh.
The flight was immediately taken to the isolation bay for mandatory security checks. The aircraft was then thoroughly inspected by the bomb squad and technical crew, according to the police officer.
“After receiving the bomb threat, the flight was diverted to Raipur and made the emergency landing,” Singh said. Following the airport procedure, the aircraft is being frisked by the team of Central Industrial Security Force and Raipur Police, he added.

In Another Bomb Threat Incident-
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, Maharashtra received bomb threat on Wednesday afternoon. The threat was received from an unidentified caller who informed the security personnel about a person carrying explosives.
According to reports, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) control room at Terminal 1 of the airport received the call. The caller mentioned that a person named Mohammad was allegedly carrying explosives on a flight from Mumbai to Azerbaijan.
