Late Sunday, the body of a 70-year-old woman was discovered in a plastic drum near an abandoned building in Nisarga Layout of KR Puram, Bengaluru. Three men have been apprehended and are currently undergoing questioning in connection with the heinous murder, sparking alarm among residents in the vicinity.

Details About The Bengaluru Victim
Identified as Susheelamma, the victim resided in a flat on II Main Road of Nisarga Layout and was affiliated with the BJP, according to police statements. Her younger daughter and granddaughter occupied a separate apartment within the same complex.
Authorities revealed that the victim’s dismembered limbs were found in the uncovered drum, located approximately 200 feet from her residence. Raman Gupta, the additional commissioner of police (East), who conducted an inspection at the scene, stated, “We have initiated a murder investigation and are exploring all possible leads.”
When Was Susheelamma Killed?
Authorities suspect that Susheelamma was killed late Friday night in her apartment. Her younger daughter is employed at a private firm, while her granddaughter is a college student. According to the daughter, Susheelamma would occasionally visit temples for a day or two.
“We have discovered a chain resembling gold on the deceased woman’s body. As a result, we are uncertain if any other ornaments are missing. We will conduct further interviews with her daughter and granddaughter. Susheelamma’s only son and elder daughter resided separately. The son occasionally provided Rs 2,000-3,000 for his mother’s basic necessities,” the police stated.
Having lost her husband several years ago, Susheelamma reportedly mentioned to her neighbor Munirathnamma three days prior that she was expecting some money soon, as informed by her lawyer. “We intend to inquire further into the details regarding the money she was anticipating and its source,” the police confirmed.
