New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Locket Chatterjee Friday broke down in tears on Friday while accusing Trinamool Congress leaders of committing sexual violence against women on day of Panachayat Polls in the state.

Congress leaders like Priyanka Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi did not speak a word on this and neither did West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee despite being a woman.

She alleged that the woman was assaulted and thrown outside by dragging her hair and the police were asked to let go.

Her statement came a day after a gram sabha candidate from BJP accused that she was physically assaulted and molested by the TMC workers on the day votes were casted in the state for Panchayat elections.

The victim alleged that she was forced to strip naked by Trinamool goons who later paraded her around the village on July 8.
