On Wednesday, the BJP’s national vice president responded to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s accusations of Indian involvement in the assassination of a Sikh separatist leader in Canada. He criticized Canada for claiming to uphold liberal values while allegedly supporting terrorists on their soil.
This comes amid ongoing tensions between India and Canada relations after Trudeau’s allegations about Indian government involvement in the killing of Khalistan Tiger Force chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada. India’s Ministry of External Affairs refuted these allegations, dismissing them as ‘absurd’ and ‘motivated’.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Odisha’s Health Minister Naba Kishore Das tragically passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He had been shot by an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) in Brajarajnagar, Jharsuguda district while attending an event. The bullet had inflicted severe injuries, piercing his heart and left lung, resulting in significant internal bleeding. Despite efforts, he could not be saved and was airlifted to Bhubaneswar, where surgical procedures were performed in vain.
