After the BJP got the maximum number of seats in the Mahayuti, that has won the majority of seats, the ruling coalition has formed a formula on the allocation of the ministries and the Chief Minister’s office . It has reportedly come to the conclusion that the BJP would get the post of the Chief Minister abd two deputy chief ministers.
The face for the CM post is not announced yet. As per media reports, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is likely to be the next CM of Maharashtra. Also, Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and NCP leader Ajit Pawar is likely to be made the next Deputy CM’s of Maharashtra.
Devendra Fadnavis Likely To Lead
As reported by Indian Express, Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde and NCP Chief Ajit Pawar have approved the arrangement for the next government of Maharashtra.
Devendra Fadnavis’s name has got approved for the post of CM in Maharashtra by the BJP leadership, as reported by Indian Express. Mahayuti had a landslide victory in Maharashtra where they made the win with huge margin.
Also, Both NCP and Shiv Sena will have one deputy each. As per media reports, Shiv Sena is expected to get 12 portfolios in the ministry, while the NCP may get 10 Ministry positions. BJP is likely to keep the 21 ministry post for itself.
Mahayuti won 230 seats, under this alliance BJP has won 132 seats, Eknath Shinde-Shiv Sena has won 57 seats and NCP-Ajit Pawar has won 41 seats. On the other end Maha Vikas Aghadi is lost as they failed to get the majority in the election. MVA alliance got only 46 seats. Under MVA alliance Shiv Sena (UBT) has won 20 seats, Congress has won 16 seats and NCP-Sharad Pawar has won 10 seats.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has organised a meeting in evening in Delhi with Eknath Shinde, Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar to discuss about the power sharing details.
