New Delhi: Veteran leader of BJP, Lal Krishna Advani (LK Advani) has been hospitalized at AIIMS, Delhi, as per reports. He reached the hospital on Wednesday and currently has been kept under the supervision of the doctors of the geriatric department, AIIMS. His condition is stable as of now.

The geriatric department deals with the medical treatment of the elderly i.e. above 60 years of age.
The 96-year-old leader was conferred the highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna, a few months ago.
He is one of the tallest leaders of the BJP and is known as one of the leaders of the trio that consisted of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani, and Murli Manohar Joshi. In his days of active politics, Advani was known as the stalwart of the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh).
After the split from the Janata Party, it was through the historic Ram Rath Yatra of Lal Krishna Advani that the newly formed BJP got its recognition after securing two seats in the 1984 elections.
Advani is considered a leader who worked tirelessly for the BJP’s recognition from cities and towns to remote villages.

He served as the BJP president for three terms and as the Deputy Prime Minister from 2002 to 2004 in the NDA government headed by late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
