The BJP is poised to finalize its choice for the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh today. The decision will be taken after a legislative party meeting with the newly-elected MLAs, presided over by appointed observers Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, National Secretary Asha Lakra, and Rajya Sabha MP K Laxman. Confirming the process, Laxman stated, “A meeting of the legislative party will be held today evening. After this, the final decision will be taken by the party high command.” The observers have arrived at the party office in Bhopal to oversee the proceedings.
The BJP chose not to designate a specific Chief Ministerial candidate during the pre-election period. Instead, the party employed a strategy of collective leadership, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the forefront, to guide its campaign. This approach proved successful as the BJP secured a landslide victory in the polls.
As reported, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Patel are in the fray for Madhya Pradesh’s top post
