New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing investigation into the Delhi excise policy, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has levelled another big allegation against the BJP. AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said at a press conference that Rs 5 crore is being offered to persuade party MLAs to join the BJP.
Alleging that these activities are a part of the ‘Operation Lotus’ of the BJP, Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that AAP MLAs have foiled the plans of the saffron party.
“The BJP is plotting to topple the elected government of Delhi under Operation Lotus. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was made an offer to join the BJP. He was told that he would be made the chief minister of Delhi if he joins the BJP,” he told the media.
“We saw how the BJP formed governments in Goa, Karnataka and Arunachal Pradesh under Operation Lotus. In Maharashtra, we saw that the government elected by the people was brought down by dismantling the Shiv Sena. The BJP tried to topple the government by carrying out Operation Lotus in Delhi. But the BJP has been frustrated,” he added.
The AAP spokesperson also alleged that the BJP is using the CBI to put political opponents under pressure.
