Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024: BJP’s National President JP Nadda has appointed Ravindra Kumar Rai, a former Member of Parliament, as the working president of the party’s Jharkhand unit today. Who Is Ravindra Kumar Rai?
Ravindra Kumar Ray is an Indian politician and member of parliament from Koderma constituency, Jharkhand. He won the 2014 general election as a BJP candidate.

Star Campaigners For Jharkhand Assembly Elections
With Jharkhand Assembly elections knocking on the door, the BJP on Friday announced the list of 40-star campaigners. Notably, the list includes PM Modi, BJP national president JP Nadda, and Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, etc. Chief ministers from various states have also been included in this star campaign team, including Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh) and Himanta Biswa Sarma (Assam).

On Saturday, BJP announced the first list of 66 candidates for the Jharkhand assembly polls, to be held in alliance with the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United), and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). The BJP would contest 68 seats, while AJSU from 10 seats, JD(U) from 2 seats, and LJP from 1 seat. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has also released its fifth list of candidates.
Election Dates
The elections for the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will be held in two phases, on November 13 and 20. The vote counting is scheduled for November 23.
