In a shocking incident, a 65-year-old man was killed by a woman over a samosa dispute in Bihar’s Bhojpur district.
According to a report published by NDTV, the incident took place on October 19. The deceased was identified as Chandrama Yadav, a resident of Kaulodihari village in Bhojpur district.
Yadav was attacked on his head with a sword, and the severe injury led to his death on October 20.
As per reports, a boy went to buy some samosas but was assaulted by other children after an argument, who snatched his food. Yadav went to the shop to find out what had caused the scuffle. He got into an argument with a few villagers, during which a woman struck him on the head with a sharp sword.
He was admitted to a hospital in Patna but succumbed to his injuries. The police have registered a case and a search is underway to trace the woman.
Minor girl raped in Andhra Pradesh’s Rajahmundry
In a separate incident, a tenth-class minor female student was allegedly raped by a young man in a Social Welfare Department hostel in Andhra Pradesh’s Rajahmundry. After receiving complaint for the victim, Rajahmundry Two Town Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police said in a press release on Wednesday.
Sources in police said, the student, who studies and resides at the girls’ hostel in Rajahmundry, informed the warden on the evening of Diwali that her brother had come and she needed to fetch soap, and so she left the hostel premises.
A young man named Ajay (from Ravulapalem, Ambedkar Konaseema District), who was waiting outside, allegedly lured the minor away and took her towards the Godavari river embankment. Another friend of the accused was present on the bike. Subsequently, Ajay took the girl to a lodge on Railway Station Road, where he allegedly raped her.
