Bihar: Upset After Daughter Elopes, Father Kills Her; Body Recovered From Locked Bathroom

Sakshi’s father persuaded her to return home a week ago. She returned to Samastipur but after a few days, she was not seen by anyone. Sakshi’s mother inquired with Singh about her whereabouts, he told her that she had left the house.

The Bihar Police arrested a man for allegedly killing his daughter after she fled to Delhi with her boyfriend. The incident reportedly took place in Samastipur. The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old, Sakshi.

According to PTI, the woman was allegedly killed on April 7 and the cops recovered her body from a locked bathroom. As per the news agency, the accused, Mukesh Singh, wanted to kill Sakshi’s boyfriend, but the latter was not present in the village. 

Woman left home with her boyfriend

The woman’s maternal uncle told that Sakshi left home with her boyfriend on March 4. Sakshi’s boyfriend lived near her residence and both went to college together. 

Mukesh Singh convinced her to return home

Sakshi’s father persuaded her to return home a week ago. She returned to Samastipur but after a few days, she was not seen by anyone. Sakshi’s mother inquired with Singh about her whereabouts, he told her that she had left the house. 

Police recovered body from locked bathroom

Sakshi’s mother started searching for her and lodged a complaint with the police. The cops started a probe and found a foul smell coming out from a locked bathroom of their residence. Later, Mukesh Singh confessed to the offence.
