A strange case has come to light in the NMCH hospital of Patna as one eye of the deceased found missing. A young man was admitted here after being shot. The young man died during treatment, but when his family members came to take the body of the deceased, they were shocked.
One eye of the deceased was missing. When the family members asked the hospital administration about it they allegedly started quarreling with them. A written complaint has been registered on this matter.
According to the information, on November 14, a person named Fantush Kumar, a resident of Nalanda Hilsa, was admitted to NMCH hospital after being shot. After being admitted and treated in the ICU for 24 hours, the doctors declared him dead on the morning of November 15. The body was taken to the mortuary for postmortem. But when the body was handed over to the family after the postmortem, one of his eyes was missing.
The family members allege that the hospital administration has taken out the eye of the young man. While in the preliminary investigation, the hospital administration said that a rat has eaten the eye of the dead body.
Police On The Incident
Police took the statements of the doctor and the family members. According to the police officials, the investigation is being done by questioning the doctor in this matter. Currently, the police station in-charge is examining the footage from the CCTV camera of the hospital.
The hospital superintendent Dr. Vinod Prasad has assured to take appropriate action after investigation in the matter.
Ajit Kumar, brother of the deceased, made allegations and said that the hospital administration is suspected of removing the eye from the body of deceased. The police should investigate the matter and the accused should be given strict punishment.
