Patna: A shocking event unfolded in Patna’s Beur police station area today, May 19, 2025, after a person was injured after being shot. The incident has prompted swift action by the police. Meanwhile, the injured person was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical assistance. ANI quoted a police official as saying, “The forensic team and the Dog Squad team are further assisting in the matter”.
As per the latest update, a team led by Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) experts is currently collecting evidence from the crime scene. At the same time, a Dog Squad team is assisting the Patna police in probing the matter. Those behind the shooting incident are being tracked. However, no revelations have been made regarding the matter yet.
In yet another shooting incident that occurred in Patna during the early hours of Sunday, May 18, a 28-year-old auto driver was shot dead at Dhanuki More. Patna Subdivisional police officer (SDPO)-I, Atulesh Jha, said that they received information about the shooting at 5 am. Meanwhile, the victim, identified as Shashi Kumar, a resident of Chai Tola, was found lying in a drain with multiple bullet injuries. He died during the treatment at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital. Police recovered four empty shells of bullets, the victim’s auto, and a mobile phone from the crime scene.
The police, along with an FSL team, are currently investigating the matter and have registered an FIR against some unknown people. SDPO Atulesh Jha said that they are probing whether “the victim reached the location to drop off a passenger or was called by someone.” According to Shashi’s family, he had left home to drive his auto on Saturday night after having dinner. He used to drive in areas, incuding Agamkuan, Patna City, and Bahadurpur.
