Patna: Santosh Suman Manjhi, son of Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi on Tuesday resigned from state cabinet amid Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's ongoing effort to bring like-minded opposition parties together to fight Bhartiya Janta Party-led alliance in 2014 general election.  Talking to the media after announcing his resignation, Santosh said that the existence of his party was in danger, he did this to save it, I want to remain in the Grand Alliance even today. Santosh Manjhi said that JDU wants us to merge HAM with them. But we do not accept this. We would rather like to fight alone. We do not like to merge with JDU. Nitish Kumar was constantly asking us to merge, but we refused. Santosh Suman said, whether we will go with BJP is a different matter. As per sources, Jitan Ram Manjhi is angry with CM Nitish Kumar because Nitish Kumar has not invited him to the meeting of opposition parties which is going to take place in Patna on June 23.
