PFI Terror Case: Today NIA is conducting raids in many districts of Bihar in connection with the PFI Terror connection case. NIA teams conducted raids this morning at different places in Motihari, Darbhanga, Kishanganj, Nalanda and Patna districts.

An NIA team reached Nooruddin Jangi’s house in Urdu market of Darbhanga. Jangi’s relatives were interrogated by the NIA. Nooruddin Jangi was earlier arrested by the NIA from Lucknow. He is a lawyer and used to arrange bail for PFI radicals.

In Patna too, the house of PFI member Athar has been raided by the NIA. Athar is currently in jail. The NIA team is collecting evidence from the locations of the accused Athar.

The NIA also raided the house of Riyaz Maroof alias Bablu in Kuanwa village of Chakia, Motihari. Reyaz is the state secretary of the Popular Front of India (PFI). It is alleged that Riyaz is a master trainer of PFI. His family members are being interrogated.

Recently a terrorist training camp was busted in the PFI office in Phulwari Sharif, Patna. Recently its investigation was handed over to the NIA. In this case, Patna Police arrested many people associated with PFI.

Many other accused in this case are still absconding. In the PFI office, people were being trained for anti-national activities and using weapons. A big conspiracy was also hatched during the visit of PM Narendra Modi in Patna.
