Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of JD(U) MLAs and MPs today amid speculations of a rift with ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). JDU party president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan gave this information on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has also called a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the political developments in Bihar.

Earlier on Monday, the Congress party had also called a meeting of its legislature party in Bihar to consider the developing political picture in the state. Rumors of a possible tussle between the JD(U) and the BJP have intensified after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not attend the NITI Aayog meeting.

While talking to the media in state capital Patna, JD(U) national president Lalan Singh said, “I read in the newspapers that RCP Singh has said that he was told by Union Home Minister Amit Shah that his name should be included in the post of minister.”

JD(U) national president Lalan Singh said that he claimed to have taken oath after informing the Bihar CM. But this is a confirmation of something about which we have been accusing RCP Singh.

“We allege that RCP Singh has become a minister of his own free will. They removed Amit Shah’s name, Lalan Singh asked whether Shah belongs to our party? Can BJP decide which JD (U) leader will become a minister?” Lalan Singh said.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not attend the meeting of NITI Aayog organized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. At the same time, RCP Singh announced his exit from the party after the party sought answers on the allegations of corruption.
