Bihar: A man was allegedly killed by his wife for preventing her from making reels in Bihar’s Begusarai on Sunday night. The incident took place when the deceased went to his wife’s home where his wife and her family members hacked her to death.
Police said that the deceased was identified as Maheshwar Kumar Rai, a resident of Samastipur in Bihar. He worked as a daily wager in Kolkata and was married to Rani, a resident of a village in Begusarai around seven year ago.
Police said a few days back Rai had come to Bihar from Kolkata and on Sunday he went to meet his wife Rani at her home in Begusarai. “When Rai came to know that Rani started making reels in his absence, he asked her not to do so.
Enraged over his boundation, on Sunday around 9 pm, when Rai was at her home, Rani along with her family members killed her,” said police adding that after an hour when Rai’s brother who resides in Kolkata contacted him and his phone was answered by someone else, he alerted his father who reached Rani’s home and was shocked to find his son dead. Subsequently, cops were alerted, and police arrested the suspects. It was revealed that Rai had been scheduled to return to Kolkata after two to three days.
