Bihar: Ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday gave a big surprise to the women in the state. The Chief Minister has flagged off around 80 pink buses, which will operate exclusively for women. One of the specialties is that the drivers and conductors of these buses will be female. The step has been taken to ensure the safety of women.
CM Nitish Kumar also rolled out E-Ticketing facility in 1,065 buses of the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation at a program organised at his official residence today. This initiative aims to provide ease to the people of the state in traveling to various places. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha also participated in the program.
In a post on X, CM wrote, “Today, the inauguration of the e-ticketing facility in 1065 buses of the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation was carried out, and the launch of 80 new pink buses in the second phase was also done. Only women can travel in these buses. The operation of these pink buses will make women’s journeys more secure and comfortable, and they will have considerable convenience in commuting.”
आज बिहार राज्य पथ परिवहन निगम की 1065 बसों में ई-टिकटिंग सुविधा लागू करने का शुभारंभ किया तथा द्वितीय चरण में नई 80 पिंक बसों का लोकार्पण भी किया। इन बसों में केवल महिलाएं ही यात्रा कर सकती हैं।

The special pink buses, set to hit the streets of Bihar, have various facilities for the comfort and safety of women. There is a separate seat for pregnant women on the buses. Moreover, cameras have been installed for additional security. Special arrangements have also been made for medical facilities in these vehicles. The pink buses will run in various cities in Bihar.
