Bihar Elections 2025: With the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) already putting its cards on the table for Bihar Assembly elections 2025, all eyes are now on the Mahagathbandhan to announce its seat-sharing arrangement. Following the NDA’s announcement, RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari asserted that their seat-sharing formula is almost finalised, and will be announced very soon.
What’s brewing in RJD-Congress Mahagathbandhan?
The opposition Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar is expected to finalise its seat-sharing arrangement in the coming days and may announce its candidates along with a joint manifesto later this week. According to reports, the rounds of discussions are underway between Congress and RJD. Their top leadership is expected to meet on Monday as RJD leaders Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav are in Delhi for talks. Earlier in the day, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also confirmed that party president Mallikarjun Kharge is in touch with with all coalition partners in Bihar.
Reacting to NDA’s seat sharing arrangement, RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari stated that the allocation hints at an internal dispute within the alliance. He alleged that BJP has devised a formula to eliminate smaller parties. Speaking on Mahagathbandhan’s plan, Tiwari stressed that all is well within the alliance, contrary to reports of talks hitting a rough patch.
“Our seat-sharing formula has almost been finalised, and we believe it will be announced very soon… All is well in the alliance. The alliance is extremely strong and poised for a grand victory. It’s not about seats, but about victory,” Tiwari stated.
