Bihar Elections 2025: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP candidate from Tarapur constituency, Samrat Choudhary on Thursday filed his nomination for state assembly elections. Ahead of filing his nomination, Choudhary had offered prayers at Ratneshwar Mahadev temple in Tarapur.
After filing his nomination, Choudhary expressed his happiness for the love and support he received during the entire process. He wrote on X, “It is my good fortune that today I filed my nomination from the historic #तारापुर_विधानसभा area. The love, support, and blessings of all of you have deeply overwhelmed me. The entire Bihar along with Tarapur is ready with the resolve for the next chapter of the NDA government on the path of development, trust, and good governance.”

Speaking to ANI, ahead of his nomination filing, Choudhary asserted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is united and fighting together as a team to form government in Bihar again. He also attacked the Mahagathbandhan on the issue of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in Bihar.
“We are here to ensure the Lotus blooms. With the blessings of God, we want the blessings from the public to form the NDA government in Bihar…We are fighting as a team…These people (of Mahagathbandhan) could not find one person in Bihar who said that their vote was cut,” Choudhary stated.

BJP releases third list of candidates
Notably, BJP on Wednesday released the third list of 18 candidates for the Bihar elections. The party has fielded Satish Yadav from the Raghopur seat, who will contest against RJD leader and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav. The saffron party has fielded Sanjay Pandey from Narkatiyaganj, Ram Singh from Bagha, Vinay Bihari from Lauria, Sachindra Prasad Singh from Kalyanpur, Narayan Prasad from Nautan, and Lal Babu Prasad from Chiraia.
