The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) surpassed the majority mark in early trends when the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 vote counting began on November 14, 2025. The BJP and JD(U) alliance appears destined to retake power. The Jan Suraaj Party has not yet opened its account, while the Mahagathbandhan, which consists of the Congress and the RJD, comes in a far second. The Mahagathbandhan was leading in 49 seats and the NDA in 190, according to trends at 11.30 am. 84 seats are in the BJP’s favor.

The ECI claims that this is the first time in recent memory that no irregularities or malpractices were found at any polling place during scrutiny, and no repolls have been suggested.
