Manthan 2025: Kanhaiya Kumar added another feather to Manthan’s illustrious cap as he appeared for his interview in Bihar with News 24’s Garima Singh, a leading political activist. He delivered an eloquent statement to signify and reassure the people of Congress’s significance for the nation as a political party. Kumar said, “Congress is much more than a nominal political party.” He further added, “Congress echoes the history of the nation -a history that denotes a special place for secularism, equality, constitutional rights, and peace across all facets of modern society.”
As a purveyor of all such notions, he emphasized, “Congress is a much bigger entity than a political party; its significance has been inherent in the very genesis of this nation.”
He went on to state, “No matter how puny the truth might seem in front of the state, and no matter how powerful the state might be, truth can never be erased.”

Upon being asked about whether the opposition should or should not raise questions, Kanhaiya Kumar stated that he has no personal issues with Prime Minister Modi. “I have no hatred towards BJP; they follow their own philosophy and ideas.” He went on to state that there is a rivalry that should not be trivialised. “Instead, our objections are stringent and profound. It is the duty of the Election Commission to further work on these allegations.”
Kumar raised questions about the development prospects that BJP had once promised before elections. He questioned, “Has every citizen received the Rs 15 lakh that was once promised by the incumbent government?” and went on to question the job prospects, farmers’ betterment, and women empowerment that were once promised by the government.
He emphasised that as an opposition member, it’s their right to question the state. “But whenever a question is raised, we are asked about how the state of affairs were when Jawaharlal Nehru was in power. This is absurd. The NDA government has been in power in Bihar for 20 years and is one of the most powerful parties in the nation.

Kumar hailed that their fight is not for a single position; rather, it’s a much bigger battle for the replacement of the whole government. Stating the allegations of vote theft once again, he said that a government that forms through vote plundering is no good for the nation. Upon being asked about how the Congress Chief Minister from Telangana had once pledged that their DNA is better than Biharis, he evaded the question completely and said, “Prashant ji will be able to answer the question better.”
