The AIMIM won five seats, and the BSP and an Independent candidate won one seat each. Prominent candidates in the fray include power minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav (Supaul), industries minister Nitish Mishra (Jhanjharpur), and fisheries resources minister Renu Devi (Bettiah), who is also a former deputy chief minister.

The party-wise projections are out, signaling the likely return of the Nitish Kumar-led government. Dainik Bhaskar projects the NDA to win 145–160 seats, with the Mahagathbandhan (MGB) at 73–91 and others 5–10. People’s Insight forecasts NDA 133–148, MGB 87–102, Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) 0–2, and others 3–6. Matrize predicts a clean sweep for the NDA, with 147–167 seats, while People’s Pulse shows NDA 133–159, MGB 75–101, and JSP 0–5.

Exit polls for the Bihar Assembly elections are expected to be released shortly, following the completion of the second and final phase of polling on Tuesday. Bihar witnessed a record provisional voter turnout of 67.14 per cent, the highest in its history, reflecting unprecedented public participation in what is viewed as a crucial test of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s extended tenure.
Polling across 122 constituencies, encompassing nearly 3.7 crore voters, surpassed the 65.09 per cent turnout recorded in the first phase on November 6. Among districts, Kishanganj reported the highest turnout at 76.26 per cent, followed by Katihar (75.23%), Purnia (73.79%), and Supaul (70.69%), while Nawada registered the lowest at 57.31 per cent.
The exit polls are surveys that are conducted by major media houses and independent agencies immediately after voting ends.
