Bihar Election 2nd Phase Voting 2025 Live Updates:
The campaign witnessed the NDA highlighting its development record and stable governance, while the opposition INDIA bloc focused on unemployment, youth discontent, and social justice issues. The main contest remains between the NDA, comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United)—and the Mahagathbandhan, led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress. Other notable players include Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party and Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM, which had made inroads in the Seemachal region in 2020. The ruling NDA seeks re-election on the back of Nitish Kumar’s 20-year tenure in Bihar and 11 years of the Modi government at the Centre, while the opposition alliance is counting on anti-incumbency sentiment and promises of better governance and job creation.
