Bihar: For the third time, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday attached the assets worth Rs 6 crore of Lalu Yadav and his family in connection with land for job scam.
An investigation is underway on the former Chief Minister’s of Bihar, Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi and their children’s including Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav in Bihar land-for-jobs corruption case.
The Enforcement Directorate, the central agency responsible for investigating financial crimes, has seized the assets of Yadav and his family members.

They are accused of acquiring land at unusually low prices in exchange for providing jobs while he served as Union Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is also involved in investigating this case. In October of the previous year, the CBI filed the initial charge sheet related to this matter.
Subsequently, on July 3, the Enforcement Directorate filed the second charge sheet, and this is the first one that names Tejashwi Yadav as an accused.

The case was registered on May 18, 2022, against Lalu Prasad and 15 others. The charges brought against the accused include sections under the Indian Penal Code that pertain to criminal conspiracy, cheating, and other relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the alleged wrongdoing.
