Manthan 2025- Sanjay Jha predicts NDA’s landslide win, defends Nitish Kumar’s secular image

Speaking at News24's Manthan 2025, Rajya Sabha MP and JDU leader Sanjay Kumar Jha has predicted landslide victory in the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections.

Manthan 2025- Rajya Sabha MP and JDU leader Sanjay Kumar Jha on Friday attended News24’s event Manthan 2025, where he spoke in length about the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. In a detailed conversation with anchor Garima Singh, Jha stated that the NDA will form the government in Bihar with a landslide victory.

Jha has hailed this election as the real peak of Nitish Kumar’s political career, and expressed optimism about various development projects that will be undergo during his tenure. He affirmed that Kumar will be the Chief Minister, calling it a pro-incumbency election for him. Jha asserted that under Kumar’s leadership, the alliance will get a “bumper” win.

“This election is pro incumbency for Kumar. NDA will form the government in Bihar with a landslide victory this time,” added Jha.

When asked why PM Modi has not publicly declared Nitish Kumar as the Chief Ministerial candidate, despite referring to him as a “Ladla Mukhyamantri,” Jha chose not to respond directly but asserted the NDA’s victory. On being questioned about the rise of Hindu-Muslim tensions in Bihar under Nitish Kumar’s rule, Jha replied that every election has its own narrative, and every government and party plans accordingly. He also mentioned that there are no issues with seat-sharing within the alliance.

He further emphasised over Nitish Kumar’s secular image, highlighting that he has been in power in Bihar for 20 year and no curfew has been imposed in Bihar till date.
