Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot also announced Mukesh Sahni as the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate for Bihar.

“After taking everyone’s opinion, we have decided that Tejashwi Yadav will be the Chief Ministerial face in this election.” Ashok Gehlot said.

Unemployment is rising, and it is our responsibility to address the needs of the nation during such a time. In response to the announcement of CM and Deputy CM candidates, former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav said, “We have to work to build Bihar. We thank respected Lalu Prasad Yadav, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and all the Grand Alliance partners. We will definitely live up to the trust you have placed in us.” Taking aim at the NDA, he said, “These people are exhausted and driven only by their hunger for power. Give us just 30 months, and we will achieve what they couldn’t accomplish in 30 years.”
