The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday (October 6, 2025) announced the first list of 11 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly election due in November. The party has taken an early lead in the state’s poll race, becoming the first to announce its candidates. The names and the assembly seats were announced at a press conference by Bihar in-charge Ajesh Yadav and state president Rakesh Yadav.

AAP leaders said that the party will independently contest on all 243 assembly seats, implementing Arvind Kejriwal’s model of governance already used in Delhi and Punjab. The first list includes two seats from Bihar’s Patna district. Arun Kumar Rajak will contest from Phulwari assembly constituency, while Dr. Pankaj Kumar is nominated from the Bankipur seat. Aam Aadmi Party has nominated Dr. Meera Singh from the Begusarai seat and Amit Kumar Singh from Taraiya in Saran.
Yogi Chaupal will contest from the Kusheshwarsthan assembly constituency in Darbhanga. The other candidates are Bhanu Bhartiya from Purnia’s Kasba seat, Subhada Yadav from Madhubani’s Benipatti constituency, Ashraf Alam from Kishanganj, Akhilesh Narayan Thakur from Sitamarhi’s Parihar, Ashok Kumar Singh from Motihari’s Govindganj, and former Captain Dharamraj Singh from Buxar Assembly seat.
