Bihar Administrative Reshuffle: The Bihar government on Saturday carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 50 IAS officers, including over a dozen of district magistrates.
A Notification issued by the General Administration Department said, IAS officer of 2010 batch Raj Kumar, who is a Collector, Bhojpur has been appointed as Managing Director, Bihar State Milk Co-Operative Federation Ltd, COMFED. Similarly, IAS officer Pankaj Kumar of 2010 batch was transferred from Collector, Sheohar and appointed as Director, Primary Education.

Ex-Director of Mines and Geology Department Nayyar Iqbal has been made Special Secretary, Food and Consumer Protection Department. District Collector, Lakhisarai, Rakesh Kumar is appointed as Director, Consolidation. Ex-Director, Consolidation, Mithilesh Mishra shall be the District Magistrate, Lakhisarai.
Rohtas District Magistrate Naveen Kumar is the new State Transport Commissioner. Inayat Khan, District Magistrate of Araria, goes as Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Sunil Kumar Yadav has been made Additional Secretary, Labour Resources Department and Yogendra Singh is Director of Secondary Education with additional charge of Mid Day Meal.
Panchayati Raj Department Issues Strict Orders
The Panchayati Raj department had issued orders for the appointment of Anand Sharma and Himanshu Kumar Rai as Directors.
Jitendra Gupta is the new Joint Secretary to the Bihar State Planning Board. Statistics department got a new director named Dr. Vidya Nand Singh whereas Uditha Singh took charge as District Magistrate of Rohtas.
Roshan Kushwaha is the new District Magistrate, Samastipur. Sanjay Kumar is the Additional Secretary, GAD. Kumar Mangalam is the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Purnea, and Atul Kumar Verma, Administrator, Bihar Road Transport Department.
J. Priyadarshani has been transferred as Director, Land Reform Department. Besides them, 30 others have been transferred to various postings in the state.
Reshuffle Done For Greater Efficiency In Administration
A government spokesman said that the reshuffle was part of the ongoing drive by the state to ensure greater efficiency in administration.
