New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been arrested by the Central Investigation Agency (CBI), following 8 hours of inquiry into alleged corruption in Delhi liquor policy on Sunday.

He is the second minister of Delhi’s AAP government to be arrested by a central agency in less than a year. Manish Sisodia’s colleague and Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain was the first Aam Aadmi Party minister who was arrested by a central agency in May last year.

Mr. Sisodia who holds education and finance portfolios along with others facing corruption allegations in bringing a new liquor sale policy in Delhi.
Last year, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena ordered a CBI probe into liquor excise policy cases.
