When he didn’t accept, I said I’ll contest but now with that incident (#RajasthanPoliticalCrisis), I’ve decided not to contest the elections
On being asked if he will continue to remain Chief Minister, he said, “I will not decide that, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi will do.”
Earlier, he had announced to step down as CM in order to run for the chief post.
CM Gehlot added that he had decided to contest Congress’ chief polls after Rahul Gandhi denied to accept the post. However, he changed his decision after the mass resignation of MLAs.
More than 80 MLAs, loyalists of Gehlot, had submitted their resignation to the Assembly Speaker CP Joshi at his residence.
They all protested the candidature of Sachin Pilot for CM.
