Two pilots are safe
During the crash, the Su-30 had two pilots while the Mirage 2000 only had one. Initial reports indicate that both pilots are secure, and IAF helicopter is en route to the third pilot's location, according to defence sources. Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, assessed the situation, spoke with VR Chaudhari, the head of the IAF, and is continuing to keep an eye on it. "Rajnath Singh was briefed by the Chief of Air Staff on the crash of two aircraft of the Indian Air Force. The defence minister enquired about the well-being of the IAF pilots and is monitoring the developments closely," defence sources told India Today. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, expressed sorrow over the accident and gave instructions for prompt rescue efforts. "The news of crash of Sukhoi-30 and Mirage-2000 aircraft of the Air Force near Kolaras in Morena is very sad. I have instructed the local administration to cooperate with the Air Force in quick rescue and relief work.
