From a police officer to a ‘miraculous’ guru, Surajpal Singh who is popularly known as Bhole Baba played a significant role in social welfare. After leaving his job, he started holding satsangs where he listened to the troubles of women who attended. When they expressed a need for money, he organized donations from the devotees attending the satsang to help them. This act of charity increased people’s faith in him and his followers grew, including among Muslims.
Neighbour Jagdish Chandra revealed that 25 years ago, Surajpal Singh began holding satsangs at his residence in Kedar Nagar. Initially, local women attended the satsangs. By collecting donations and providing help, he established a presence in every home, which led to followers coming from far-off places as well.
Neighbour Sabir Chaudhary shared that until 30 years ago, Surajpal Singh lived like an ordinary person. Since the year 2000, the holy Baba has not visited here, but followers travel from distant places to seek his blessings. The crowd starts gathering as early as 4 a.m.
The hut remains closed, and followers open it occasionally for cleaning. This situation continues throughout the day. Local residents Gagan and Vicky mentioned that although they have not witnessed any miracles, the crowd here grows larger every Tuesday.
