Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday reiterated that India will not bow down to terrorism. He reached Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, where 26 tourists were killed yesterday in a terror attack. Shah and J&K LG Manoj Sinha also met the families of Pahalgam terror attack victims. Earlier in the day, he paid last respects to Pahalgam terror attack victims in Srinagar. He had arrived in Srinagar on Tuesday and held security meeting with officials and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Shah in a post on X, assured that the culprits of this dastardly terror attack will not be spared. He wrote on X, “With a heavy heart, paid last respects to the deceased of the Pahalgam terror attack. Bharat will not bend to terror. The culprits of this dastardly terror attack will not be spared.”

Rajnath Singh Briefed By The Services Chief
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was being briefed by the Services chiefs, including Army chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi and Navy chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi, on the current security situation in the Kashmir valley after the terror attack. According to Defence sources, top officers have been rushed to the affected areas and local formations have been asked to be on alert and further intensify the counter terrorist operations. More troops have been inducted in the areas near the attack site to carry out search and destroy operations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously monitoring the entire situation. He is likely to chair Cabinet Committee for Security (CCS) meeting at 6 PM in Delhi today. Earlier in the day, PM Modi held meeting with EAM S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval at the Palam Airport. PM arrived in Delhi on Wednesday, cutting short his Saudi Arabia visit. The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police have launched a search operation in the general area of Baisran, Pahalgam, Anantnag, to nab the attackers.
