Mumbai: Renowned actor of Indian cinema Amol Palekar on Sunday accompanied Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Mahrashtra on 74th day.
Along with the popular actor, his wife Chitra Palekar who is a filmmaker also joined the Congress’ footmarch, showing support to the grand-old party.

On Sunday, the ‘Yatra’ resumed from Bhendwal district in Maharashtra. Gandhi interacted with locals who joined him during the rally.
During the rally, former chairperson of the National Commission for Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Balakrishna Renke also joined and had a word with the Congress leader.
Renke has been working over 5 decades for the rehabilitation of Nomadic Tribes. He asserted that the tribe is at the lowest in the list of backward classes whose main issue is that they do not get Aadhar Card, causing them ample of issues.
He discussed several policies and proposals with Rahul Gandhi, hoping for a solution.

The ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ will end its journey in the Maratha land on 74th day and set foot in the Madhya Pradesh.
Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi started the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on September 7 which aimed to revive the grand-old party across the nation. The foot march which started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu will conclude in Srinagar, Kashmir.
